Sports & Games

The long sandy beach lends itself perfectly to all kinds of beach games such as a game of beach volleyball or an exciting boot camp. For smaller visitors, there are some fun wooden play equipment including a pirate ship. At the edge of the forest are play meadows & play mounds. In the middle of the lake is an island connected to the beach by two wooden footbridges. In short, there is plenty for everyone to discover!

Beach Toilet House

At Henschotermeer Lake this year, a number of old toilet buildings have been replaced by new Beach Toilet Houses. Authentic Beach Houses were used as inspiration in the development of these Beach Toilet Houses. Those with an eye for detail will see the shape of a beach house reflected and the beach chair at the front also completes the whole picture. In addition to neat toilets at the back of the building, the front also features a disabled toilet, baby room and urinal. The renovated Beach Toilet Houses are: no. 1, 5, 6 and 8. During the winter period, only no. 1 and 6 are open.

Around the Lake

The paved footpath around the lake has a length of almost 2,500 meters making it very suitable for runners. Not only on the property itself but also around Henschotermeer Lake you can follow several marked hiking and biking routes through the surrounding area.

Depth & Safety

The sandy bottom of the lake slopes gradually making it also suitable for children, but be aware that the deepest point of the lake is 2.00 meters. Make sure that you yourself and your possible (underage) children have sufficient swimming skills (it is advised to have at least 2 valid swimming diplomas) and in any case, make sure that you make good use of sufficient buoyancy aids such as e.g. wearing a flotation vest and/or swimming straps.

No diving is allowed, and jumping from the bridges is also prohibited. For your safety, and that of other visitors, this will be strictly enforced and enforced. There is no pool supervision available so have an eye for each other!

Not only is the sandy beach a great place to be, but the quality of the bathing water is also good. During the summer season the water is regularly checked and to ensure hygiene also there are several beach toilets around the lake.
